are you really thinking about eliminating all UC-pres related discussions? those will likely be the most active/interesting discussions on the site, so it would be a shame for you guys to cut them....

we're simply discussing how to make them productive. we have worries that anonymous posting will simply lead to anonymous swift-boating that will be unfair and mean-spirited. Don't worry, there will be discussion, we're just trying to figure out how to make it fair and productive... Wow, I am way to responsive tonight. Stillman, are you writing this english paper?

ah... very glad to hear that you are still going to have UC discussions. my two cents-- allow anonymous posts to stay... sure, it might lead to a little swift-boating (i love that that is now a verb), but i would hope readers are smart enough not to put too much weight in anonymous jabs. when you start censoring comments it's a slippery slope, and you risk losing a lot of legitimacy. and yeah, i'm still plowing through the english paper, still confused as to what 'authority' actually means.... good luck writing yours.
