and the envelop please...
In what they must consider a terrible blow to their already underdog chances, Magnus Grimeland and Tom Hadfield were endorsed late this evening by the Harvard Republican Club. They will now likely step in line to become the third year in a row to be the primary FiCom ticket (Barro- Chair; Nicolais- Chair; Grimeland- only FiCommer running), recieve the endorsement of the good old HRC, and promptly come in a distant third. While they couldn't be reached tonight for comment (because it's incredibly late), this reporter has to assume that they are somewhere mourning the death of their chances. In all seriousness, it's unclear to me that the HRC's endorsement doesn't hurt more than it helps. It seems to me to advertise something that may rally a small community, but brands you to a much larger one. Hard to know, but a thought.

Actually, Magnus and Tom *really* wanted our endorsement, and were elated to have it. After we sent out our endorsement, they sent the following message over their facebook group:
"Dear everyone,
We just received the Harvard Rupublican Clubs endorsement and are gaining serious momentum! Please reach out to all your friends an tell them to change facebook picture and join this group.
We can win this election.
Thanks,
Magnus and Tom

I'm pretty disappointed that CC was so quick to jump on this piece of HRC news, but chose not to even mention the responses to our questionnaire, despite its stated commitment to getting more information on the candidates and thereby improving campus debate.
you spelled "mourning" wrong.
good catch! I'm a terrible speller.
That was an anonymous comment on a UC-related thread. You should have disregarded it and deleted it. Ha!
